Keri wrote this of her son:
Eric is very aware and concerned about trash on our beach, in our neighborhood, in our town, in our state, in our country, in our world. He willingly picks up trash wherever we go saying, "someone else is trying to kill mother Earth". He has also taught his younger brother the importance of trash. They both constantly want to go out and pick up trash, but they save bottles and cans and recycle well. Eric shows a need to spread kindness and awareness to all he meets and I think he deserves this so that he can be shown that what he does is important and is right.
