Tracy wrote this of her daughter, Rachael:
At an awards ceremony, Rachael was chosen to be the "Student of the Month" for the month of February 2009. Rachael's 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Lewis, had these things to say about why Rachael was chosen:

"Rachael is the proverbial optimist. She sees the cup as half full, not half empty. She is supportive of her peers. She always tries to help fellow students in any way she can. She has a very kind way of gently urging her fellow students toward appropriate behavior. She is not bossy, she shows by example. Rachael is a born leader, who shows by the way she lives what is appropriate behavior.
